YES! I can feel Fall in the air! The weather here is just cool enough in the evenings for a jacket. For most of us native Floridians, this is our favorite time of year. We have put away the jet ski, bathing suits, lawn chairs, and sidewalk chalk. My husband has restocked his hunting truck, and pulled out the college football schedule, insert a groan here. We have officially turned off the ac unit….officially? like it was a dramatic event? This weekend was the beginning of nightly grilling and eating dinner out under the pergola. I say “why can’t we use the grill as a firesource?” I can actually feel our life slowing down to match the hours we will spend making smores around the weekend campout fire. I have increased my coffee consumption to match the breeze coming through the house (which is my form of winter cleaning) and spent a lot of time working with my digital scrapbook program, gearing up for the winter months. As I was picking up some great digi freebies this month, I came across this really great blog called Sweet Digi Scraps. Liz also does design for several scrapbook sites, including my favorite online traditional scrapbook store, A Cherry On Top (ACOT). For those other digital newbies, they also have digital downloads. For those of who that frequent our local scrapbook store, know I have given you the name before when searching for a line or certain item we don’t carry. When you go to her site(I have put her blinkie down on the right), make sure to look at where you can also buy her other products. I made this layout using her Everescents line, and pictures of my daughter two years ago. I love the colors, and am working on other layouts using some pictures of the “guys” in my life. This picture was of our first frost that year. Emilee was very worried about the leaves that weren’t ready to die yet “because they are still on the branch” Which she promptly pulled off and preceded to blow warm on air on them. If there was ever a little girl who give something life just out of her desire to make everything right in the world, it would be her.
