Ooops! Forgot to show you an e-card I made my hubby, I added a picture at the top, and sent it so he would get it this weekend. Then in a moment of creativity, and to be honest keep from re-cleaning my scrap area, I also converted this into a candy box wrap for the kids this Valentines day weekend.
I started with a kit called “Love Me Tender” that Linda at BonScrapatit sent out in love to us all last week. She even has the Elvis version of that song playing when you go to her blog, such great memories of my Dad with that! (Wait till you see tomorrows post also done with her kits, it is too cute…:) I converted the size down to 6×10, to give myself room for wrapping as the box was 6×4 with sides. Then I printed out on card stock, regular 8×11, white (best color for the background as she had grunged it up a little), but you can really do this on regular copy paper as it looked just a good. Gathered up the usual other elements I thought I might use, and went to wrapping.
(Sorry the pictures are as perfect as the actual print out, my camera is the worst. Next on the list when I strike it rich (ha-ha), as I just paid for PSE7…ughhhh!!!)
This took maybe, 20 minutes, and I didn’t spend more on the wrap than I did on the candy, lol. You don’t know how funny that really is after Christmas!!!! I hope you will try this simple idea, as my kids will notice right away, that even though I bought the candy, and stuck it in a plain red gift bag, I wrapped it with a little Mom love and a bow……:)
Thanks, Linda (again) for always sending out the sweetist gifts!
