Hybrid Fun! Gift/Valentine’s Day Box

We often have several hybrid projects come out during releases, and this month Cathy shared one with our Feb BYOC – Love out LOUD papers – so much fun and versatile as well!

Here is how Cathy shared her project:
I created a box that can be used to give Valentine goodies. And the best part, it can be stored flat so I can use it again and again!
I used a file from the Silhouette Store by Lori Whitlock called Large Store Flat Box
to create this. I used a 12×12 piece of red cardstock to cut the the base. Then I printed one 8.5×11 Premium Presentation Matte paper with the heart paper (ptrn9) from Live Out Loud by Etc by Danyale and one 8.5×11 piece with half the heart paper (ptrn9) and half the diagonal stripe paper (ptrn5).
I then placed them individually on my Silhouette mat and cut the accent pieces for the box,
The edges of the cut pieces are inked up with VersaMagic Chalk Ink by Tsukineko in Turquoise Gem color. Using liquid glue I adhered the accent pieces to the base.
To allow the box to be able to fold into a usable box, and then flat again for storage, you place a small amount of adhesive at just the triangular spots that match-up to the 2 long sides (they are noted in the cut file for you).
Once I folded it into a box, I tied some pretty May Arts ribbon around it. Now it’s all dressed up and ready for presentation! This box can be used for so many gifts or events
Hope this helps you crate a fun box next time you celebrate a holiday!
