If you are anything like us, you have been busy this season! This month’s challenge is super open for you all –  the theme is “Remember When.” This is your opportunity to get those family memories down so they aren’t forgotten. Whenever family gets together around here, there’s always a story that starts “Remember When…”.  Sometimes they are funny and cause giggles all around,  like “Remember when your brother dressed up in your dance costume and danced around the family room”. They may be more painful memories that can be gently remembered. They may be cute memories that you just want to remember forever. Jenn’s kids love to tell stories about all the “Mom of the Year” moments that she has had over the years. It’s like they are trying to vie for the title of Worst Childhood. Of course we laugh about them, and someday they will have their own moments to remember. That’s really the point, to just get those family stories down in writing.

Jenn has plenty of family stories that her family swapped loudly sitting around the kitchen table. For our example, she decided to remember the moment when her 18 year old decided that she was no longer part of the family and left. She left while the family was at Disney World! At the time it wasn’t very fun, but everyone can chuckle over the ridiculousness of it now.

Jenn used the very cool  Peace and Love Kit:

Jenn used her lunch photos to go with the page since that was when the story happened, and wrote a good amount to remember all the details.  The amount of writing you do is totally up to you- you could journal the entire page or just a quick couple of sentences. You can use a photo or go photoless. Add any Etc by Danyale product you choose to complete your page.

The Rules:

Scrap a Remember When, family memory page using any Etc by Danyale kit of your choice.  Remember, if you scrap with a new release the first week within its release, you will get an extra entry point. For example, Danyale has a new kit that releases on the 1st, you purchase that kit and scrap a layout with it posting it by the 8th and now you get two entries instead of one.

Upload your layout and post it here for us to gush over by midnight EST on Sunday July 31, 2016.

One lucky winner will be chosen to receive a $10 coupon to Danyale’s store.

Enjoy reliving your stories!

  1. Thanks for the fun challenge! Here’s mine:

  2. This is a childhood memory (well I don’t remember it – it’s a story told by my mum of when I was very small)
